18.1	Ordinal Numbers

* पहला	first	सातवाँ	seventh
* दूसरा	second	आठवाँ	eighth
* तीसरा	third	* नवाँ	ninth
* चौथा	fourth	दसवाँ	tenth
पाँचवाँ	fifth	ग्यारहवाँ	eleventh
* छटवाँ/ छठवाँ छटा / छठा	sixth	बारहवाँ	twelfth

*The ordinal numbers marked with an asterisk(*) are irregular in Hindi. Other than these, all ordinal numbers are formed by adding वाँto the cardinal number.

NOTE: All ordinals inflect like adjectives to reflect number and gender.
However the endings are slightly different from the usual adjective endings:
-वाँ/ -वें/ -वीं
